Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Signet Mail ("the App"), operated by Client Amp LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Signet Mail is a native macOS email client that connects to your existing email accounts (Gmail, iCloud, IMAP) and provides AI-powered features for email management. The App runs locally on your Mac and communicates directly with your email provider and, optionally, AI service providers you configure.

We do not operate email servers, relay your messages, or store your email on our infrastructure.

2. Account and Credentials

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your email account credentials
• Any activity that occurs through accounts connected to the App
• Providing valid API keys for any third-party AI services you choose to configure

We store credentials exclusively in the macOS Keychain. We cannot access, recover, or reset your credentials.

3. AI Features

The App offers optional AI features (triage, summarization, drafting, tone detection) that may send email content to third-party AI providers. By enabling these features:

• You acknowledge that email content will be transmitted to your selected AI provider
• You agree to comply with the terms of service of your chosen AI provider
• You understand that AI-generated content (drafts, summaries, classifications) may contain errors and should be reviewed before use

AI features are disabled by default and require explicit opt-in consent.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App to send spam, phishing, or malicious content
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of any email service provider
• Circumvent any rate limits imposed by email or AI providers

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and brand assets, is owned by Client Amp LLC and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or business email management.

Your email content remains yours. We claim no ownership or rights over any content you create, send, or receive through the App.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy of AI-generated content
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Compatibility with all email providers or configurations

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Client Amp LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or email content
• Missed, misdirected, or incorrectly classified emails
• Actions taken based on AI-generated recommendations
• Service interruptions from third-party email or AI providers

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Google (Gmail API), Apple (iCloud), IMAP/SMTP email providers, and various AI providers. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these third-party services.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Upon uninstallation:

• Your email accounts and their data remain with your email provider
• Local cached data can be removed by deleting ~/Library/Application Support/Signet Mail/
• Keychain entries can be removed via Keychain Access

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
